Why won’t my new photobooth carry out updates that are available

If your HP Sprocket Photobooth is not carrying out updates as expected, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve it:

Check Internet Connection:

  • Ensure your mobile device is connected to the Internet or mobile data. A stable internet connection is necessary for downloading updates.

Open Sprocket App:

  • Make sure you have the HP Sprocket app open on your mobile device, as updates are usually prompted via the app.

Confirm Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that your HP Sprocket Photobooth is powered on and properly connected to your mobile device via Bluetooth.

Battery Charge:

  • Confirm that the printer's battery is charged to at least 25% before attempting an update.

Manual Update Check:

  • You can manually check for firmware updates within the sprocket app. Open the app, tap the Main Menu, select “sprocket,” then tap “Your Device Name.” Look for any prompts indicating that an update is available.

Follow On-screen Prompts:

  • If an update is available, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update process.
