HP Sprocket will not charge or turn on

HP Recommended
HP Sprocket 2-in-1

My HP Sprocket was working fine a few hours ago. In the middle of printing it shut off entirely. I plugged it in and it would turn on for a few seconds and shut off. The charging indicator would only be on when the product was on. I left it to charge for the suggested 90 minutes hoping maybe there was simply a problem with the charging indicator and now the product won't turn on at all. I tried resetting it and still no luck.

@Allycat998, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I see that the printer does not power on, follow the steps below-

Reset your mobile device and Sprocket

Reset your mobile device and Sprocket to clear any error states.

  1. Turn off your mobile device, and then turn it back on.

  2. Turn on the Sprocket.

  3. Remove the Paper Cover, and then use a narrow object, such as a pen or paperclip, to press and hold the Reset button for 3 seconds until the Sprocket turns off.

    NOTE:

The location of the Reset button varies by Sprocket model. Typically, the button is located underneath the Paper Cover, but can also be found on the outside next to the charging port.

  4. Turn on the Sprocket.

If the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!
