HP sprocket 2-in-1
iOS 12 - 12.0.1

I have a brand new sprocket 2-in-1. I followed all of the setup instructions and tried to print my first picture. When I did, the error message said that the printer cover was not secured. It was in fact tightly secured, but i reset my phone and printer anyways. The same error message came up. Then it started alternating with “printer in use” although it was blinking red and nothing was happening. HP has only given a bot to work with and it is not helping me. Comment threads do not work either. Please help!!

Thank you for joining HP Forums.

It's a pleasure assisting you in finding answers to your technical queries.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Any hardware changes made in the Sprocket?

Reset the Sprocket with a straight pin to clear any errors.

  1. Turn on the Sprocket.

  2. Remove the paper cover by sliding it away from the output slot, and then set it aside.

    1. Slide the paper cover

    2. Remove the paper cover

  3. Locate the Reset button.

    Locating the reset button

  4. Gently insert a straight pin into the reset button access point, and then press the Reset button for 3 seconds.

The Sprocket resets and turns off.

  5. Turn on the Sprocket.

Keep me posted, how it goes!

I have recently just opened the sprocket 2in1 printer and it has continuously been blinking red saying door cover open. I have followed instructions to remove cover and paper, also tried resetting and still blinking red reading same error.

I have an error message on sprocket. Paper cover open. Close the cover to proceed. Have tried resetting the sprocket multiple times and have removed the software from my phone and reinstalled multiple times. I can’t get rid of the error message?
