My sprocket studio printer won’t allow me to set up the Bluetooth connection. I have tried everything several times and it won’t allow me to accept this accessory. Please help- I just took this printer out of packaging.

Hi @Chayse1, Welcome to HP Support Community!

We noticed that this thread hasn't had any updates in a while since your original post; while this is rare, we didn't want this post to remain unanswered, so, here's the solution to your query. We hope it helps you and everyone viewing this post 😊

I understand you're having trouble connecting your HP Sprocket Studio printer to Bluetooth during setup. Since you've just unboxed the printer, let's walk through a few steps to get you up and running:

  1. Ensure the Printer Is Powered On and Ready

    • Connect the printer to a power source and turn it on.
    • Wait until the printer is idle and not showing any error lights.
  2. Download the HP Sprocket App

    • Install the HP Sprocket app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
    • Open the app and enable Bluetooth on your mobile device.
  3. Pair the Printer via the App

    • In the app, tap the Menu (☰) > Sprocket > Manage Printers.
    • Tap Add New Printer and select your Sprocket Studio from the list.
    • If prompted, allow permissions and confirm pairing.
  4. Troubleshooting Tips

    • Make sure your mobile device is within 1 meter (3 feet) of the printer.
    • Restart both the printer and your mobile device.
    • Clear any previous Bluetooth pairings from your phone that might conflict.
    • Try resetting the printer by holding the Power button for 7 seconds until it turns off, then power it back on.
