@Damienab

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

Flower_Bud is at your service.

As I understand, the print quality of pictures is not clear.

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

When was the last time it worked fine?

Were there any hardware/software changes made?

Have you updated iOs device?

If not, I suggest you update your iOs device and HP Sprocket App.

Also, try steps mentioned in the link: https://hp.care/2wUrTid.

Step 1: Use genuine HP Sprocket Photo Paper

Step 2: Charge the printer

Step 3: Upgrade the printer firmware

Step 4: Clean the output rollers

Step 5: Other things to try

Keep me posted,

For I shall follow-up on this case to ensure the concern has been addressed,

And your device is up and running again,

Have a great day 🙂

Cheers 🙂

Hi Flowerbud,
The device is brand new, these are the first few tests I have done;
The iOS device is up to date, have downloaded the latest sprocket app, no hardware changes done to it, the firmware is up to date, the paper is the genuine paper that came with the device, it is fully charged, the original photo quality is high (uncompressed)
Thanks
Damien

@Damienab,

I reviewed the reply. It is great to have you back. Your time and patience are immensely appreciated. You've displayed great commitment, infinite patience and excellent technical skills to try and resolve the issue. Kudos to you for that.  These qualities are admirable. As  @Flower_Bud is out for the day, I am responding on her behalf.

You are a valued HP customer and it has been an absolute privilege to share this platform with you and a genuine pleasure to work with you. I hope things work great for you.

For now, try these steps:

  • Reset the HP sprocket printer by following instructions from this link:https://hp.care/2y9Lawp please check the section "How do I reset my printer?"
  • Then install the printer again. Later please check this YouTube video https://hp.care/2LjH0c0 on how to enhance its print quality.

This should do the trick for you, so long as the printer's hardware is not faulty. If the issue continues, then contact HP phone support to get it replaced. I am being honest about it here by keeping your best interest in mind.

Steps to contact HP phone support:

HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:

  1. Click on this link – https://hp.care/2moMFSc
  2. 2) Click on “Continue as guest”.
  3. 3) Enter the serial of your device.
  4. 4) Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. 5) Click on “Show Options”.

Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
They will be happy to assist you immediately.

If the unit is under warranty, the manufacturer’s warranty should take care of it for you.

Let me know how it goes. if this helps, to simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as Accepted Solution as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.

Take care and have a blessed year ahead. 🙂

 Cheers!
