I has this happen to me after the new firmare update.  I purchased a new printer Firware 1.1.2. and DID NOT UPDATE to the new firmware of 1.1.5.  Printed compariston photos and the prints are much worse with the newer firmware 1.1.5.  I will keep the new printer with the old firmware and NOT UPGRADE.  HP needs to fix the firmware!!!!  I never had this problem with my Polaroid.  In fact it was the more detailed prints that motivated me to buy the Sprocket in the first place.  PLEASE FIX THE FIRMWARE HP!!!!
