Sprocket select printer printing issues

My daughter has a sprocket select printer. She did a batch of photos last year when you bought it for her and it worked perfectly. She has tried to print twice since then and both times the colours and clarity were terrible. She had to edit the photos everytime to amend the colours for them to look the same as on her phone when they printed. This took quite a while and each image was taking 3-5 prints to get right. Obviously this is a terrible waste of paper and money. We have looked at the troubleshooting pages and done everything it suggests. any other ideas please!?
