Hi @LouiseD2,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Sprocket 200 printer’s charging cable won’t fully insert into the charging port. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

    a. Inspect the Charging Cable
Make sure you’re using the original micro-USB cable that came with the printer.
Check both ends of the cable for any visible bends, dust, or debris that might prevent a proper connection.

    b. Examine the Printer’s Charging Port
Look closely inside the port using a flashlight. If you notice any dust or lint, gently remove it using a soft brush or dry cotton swab.
Do not use sharp objects to clean the port as this can damage the connectors.

    c. Check for Physical Obstruction or Misalignment
Verify that the connector is aligned correctly with the port (flat side up).
If the plug stops halfway, do not force it — a bent pin or internal obstruction may be preventing full insertion.

    d. Test with Another Compatible Cable
Try charging the printer with another micro-USB cable (such as from a phone or another device) to see if it fits properly.
If another cable fits, the issue may be with the original cable’s connector.

    e. Try a Different Power Source
Connect the cable to a different wall adapter or USB power source to ensure the issue isn’t related to the charger itself.

    f. Gently Reseat the Cable
Insert the cable gently while applying light pressure until it clicks into place. Avoid wiggling or forcing it into the port.

I hope this helps.
