Product: HP office jet pro 8715
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I inadvertently pulled the paper tray all the way out while trying to load photo paper.  Now it engages before it is all the way in!  Help!  What is causing it to stop going all the way in?

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post. 

 

I understand that you removed the photo tray out completely and are unable to install it back, is that right?

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you. 

Have you tried to install the photo tray when the printer is off?

 

Found this YouTube video which should help you in installing the printer correctly. 

Please go through the Video and let me know if it worked for you.
