HP Envy X360 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have developed an audio problem where the Internal Speakers stop working and the icon states 'No output device is installed' yet device manager says no problems.

Your forum has been unable to help with this and suggested I contact HP by phone.  However, although I bought this laptop on 10 Feburary 2017, and comleted all necesssary paperwork, your site says that the warranty is expired, and a phone call will cost me about £38.00.   Can you please explain why it will cost me so much to fix a problem on a device that is not 12 months old?

Hi:

You should be able to dispute the warranty, since it appears it did not cover a year like it should have.
