hpS6500 won't charge

Brand new S6500:   battery light blinks for a few seconds when plugged in for charging the first time and then nothing happens.  No light to indicate that the device is charging and it doesn't turn on.  I've used the same charger on other devices and it works so it's not the charger.  I've moved the switch to on and off on the bottom of the device and nothing happens.  My son also received the same speaker in new condition and has the same problem.  Neither one works.

@swing,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

This is a wonderful place to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips.

I reviewed your post and understand that the speakers are not getting charged.

I'll be glad to help you 🙂

As you have mentioned that you have already checked with charger and it is working fine, then it confirms a hardware malfunction.

I recommend you contact HP phone support to check the available service options for your product.

Here is how you can get in touch with the phone support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes. Awaiting your reply!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Good day! Take care 🙂

Cheers!
