HP pavilion ce2500sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

HP pavilion laptop ce2500sa - Windows 10 told me it had run into some issues and was going to restart my laptop but upon restarting the screen was just black. The fans inside are on and the lights turn on but I cannot get the screen to work. I have tried connecting it to an external monitor but both screens just stayed black. I have also done a BIOS update several times but after it reboots it stays black. Unfortunately I cannot take the battery pack out as it’s not external. Is there any other way to troubleshoot the problem ? Appreciate the help, thanks.

Welcome to HP support community.

 

If external monitor doesn't have a display either, it's most likely a system board failure.

 Check the flash sequence, if the flash is happening on capslock or power button:- Click here

If that does not help, I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
