In relation to the blank lines, I wonder if it's partly due to dry cartridge? Thanks for help!

Dry cartridges or low ink can definitely cause these issues
Do you experience the same issue when making photocopies?
Try cleaning the printhead and check if that helps

Load letter or A4, unused, plain white paper into the paper tray.

On the printer control panel, press the Down Arrow to select Tools, and then press OK.

Press the Down Arrow to select Clean Printhead, and then press OK. The printer cleans the printhead, and then prints a printhead test page.

Review the print quality on the printhead test page.

I got new print cartridges, it seemed to solve the problem. If I get low on ink, but not out of ink again, and those blank horizontal lines appear again, then I will try those steps, cleaning print head, or ask again. Thanks for the help!
