Borrowing an Elite x3 3 to update my lap dock

HP Recommended

Hi everyone, I have been looking everywhere for a way to go forward with this issue, unfortunately most forums I have found yet were inconclusive at best, and I was not able to find anyone or any store in the NYC area that had the hp elite x3 for me to use/borrow just for the update.

I own the lap dock for use with my windows 10 pc as a portable second monitor, as well as an accessory for the Galaxy S8 (which is very fun to use). Unfortunately, there are several connection glitches and trackpad issues, which seem to have been fixed with the latest firmware updates, and I have not found any way of updating yet, so this is quite frustrating.

I have asked multiple retail stores (including the microsoft store) if they had one on display (very unlikely since now they are not sold anymore), in some random repair shops (which I may be luckier with, but it seems as though this phone was never quite mainstream, and I cannot directly pinpoint one that has it).

I have tried downloading the updater apps on my windows pc but to no avail (if someone from HP could point me to the apps outside the microsoft store, I think that the filter that prevents me from installing them is only on the store itself and I guess the apps could work properly on most windows platforms? (or at least on other ARM windows phones). Anyway, I'd love some help, and I thought that here I had the biggest chances of finding a solution.

Thank you in advance,

alessbelli
