Forgot printer password

Hello, I forgot my password to connect another device to my printer, how go I retrieve it?

Don't worry I'll try to help you out. Please answer a few questions below in order to assist you better.

Do you need the password for the wireless network or do you need to the password to print directly from the printer?

Try the steps recommended below to configure wireless direct.

Print a network configuration page from your printer it should show the wireless direct password for your printer.

1. If the Wi-Fi Direct light is off, press the Wi-Fi Direct button ( ) to turn it on. To find the Wi-Fi Direct
name and password, press the Information button ( ) to print a printer information page.
2. From your wireless computer, turn wireless on, search for and connect to the Wi-Fi Direct name, for
example: DIRECT-**-HP DeskJet 2600 series. Enter the Wi-Fi Direct password when prompted.
3. In a supported web browser on your computer, type the following address: http://192.168.223.1.

Also, the default wireless direct password is 12345678

Also, if you still have issues using the wireless direct try restoring the printer network settings to default and setup the wi-fi direct again. 

Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel together for three seconds.

Press the Information button and Resume button at the same time. Wi-Fi Direct Guide provides the instructions to help you set up and use Wi-Fi Direct.
