Hi, I have this dash cam for about 8 months but I didn't check the recording often until recently. While checking, I notice that it has about last 45mins of video in both the rear and front video folders. The size of each folder is around 4.3GB. On my SD card, I have around 6GB of free space. I have tried format the SD card using the option in the cam  but it doesn't help. Is there a restriction on how much video  the dash cam can keep?  I can find any setting on the duration to keep the video. My SD card is 16GB from the original package. Thank you.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Most modern computers have an SD card slot. The slot is generally designed to be the same size as a normal SD card and so micro and mini SD cards need to be inserted into an SD card adapter in order to insert them into the computer.

The easiest way to format an SD card is as follows:

  1. Open Windows Explorer.
  2. Find the drive letter for your SD card.
  3. Right-click, and when the menu appears click Format.

The Format screen will now appear.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi ,

My question is whether the HP dash cam is able to record beyond 4.3GB not how to format the SD card .I have formated the SD card using both the windows and the dash cam. But it still writes only 4.3GB into the recording folder.
