HP Envy
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have had my HP Envy for about three years now,  and when I just opened it I found a small black piece had broken off and that the left hinge is popping. I am super careful with my laptop, so I'm not quite sure how this happened. I would really appreciate assistance with this, since I am now nervous when it comes time to shut it after each session, and I do not want to bend the screen back too far in fear of it breaking off completely. I do not want my laptop to be further damaged.

Thank you!

Hello. I contacted HP Customer Support about this issue, but a few agents claimed I would need to pay in order to have this fixed, even though this is a manufacturing fault, not due to my own care of the laptop (which has been exceptionally well these past few years during which I've owned this laptop). I would greatly appreciate any other possible solutions that could be provided. Thank you.
