HP Split keyboard/base is broken. The tablet still works and I've been trying to replace it for over a year. I've looked everywhere, and I'm guessing that the answer to my problem is going to be, "here's a link to your user's manual and a link to a place you can buy all of the individual parts." The parts you don't know how to assemble, and cost as much as a new laptop.

SO HERE IS MY QUESTION: Is there any place in existence, maybe through you, HP or its affiliates where I can simply purchase a 13-r100dx docking base?

*If you tell me to look at my manual and then order the parts - I'm literally gonna buy a refurbished one, switch out all the pieces inside the docking station, and send it back. Thanks in advance for either your help, or your refurbished computer that you're getting back and will need to refurbish again.

Hi @Cybermans-Web,

Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips!

I understand you are looking for a docking station/keyboard replacement for your HP Split notebook. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.

As I understand the keyboard base is broken on your HP notebook. I would personally suggest you can contact our HP phone support so that they can provide you with all the service options available for your PC. If the unit is under warranty, the manufacturer’s warranty should cover repairs on the unit.

HP Technical Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: http://h22207.www2.hp.com/us-en/?openCLC=true

(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.

(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.

(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.

(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get the phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

If you have any troubles, let me know and I will do my best to help!

Hope this helps, for any further queries reply to the post and feel free to join us again
