HP Windows Pro Tablet 610 G1 Will not Charge or TurnOn!!! HELP

My mother gave me her HP Pro Tab 610 G1, her Charger got lost so I purchased an aftermarket on. It does't matter if I hook that one up or ant charger that will fit the 3mm charging port I cannot get this Tab to charge. No lights come in when hooked up no nothing. Can someone please help me so I can use this protab... Thanks, Jutjut

Consider the possibilities.

Maybe the battery is just flat DEAD. 

Maybe the charger you bought is not the right voltage or amperage output.

Without THE PROPER CHARGER you wont know about the battery.

Do you KNOW what the specs are on the propr charger?

Like what has already been pointed out, you either have a charger not making proper contact in the port or its not rated properly. It should be 12v and  1.5 A (minimum). Higher amps are ok, but the voltage has to remain the same.

Most tablets are designed to not work unless the battery is functional. So if your battery is dead, the charger wont work.

Replacing the battery in such case is the only solution.
