Solved!

HP Zeen battery bulging/exploding

Hi,

I am having an issue with my HP Zeen (tablet for a HP eStation printer)  where the internal battery has expanded/bulged/exploded causing the Zeen backing to pop out and rendering the Zeen unusable.

This issue has been identified in this other post as well, http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Android-Tablets-e-g-HP-Slate-7/Battery-in-my-Zeen-for-my-e510-exploded/..., however I have not been able to get any additional information or support regarding this issue.

This seems to be (unfortunately) a fairly common issue, and also seems to be dangerous and indicative of a defect in the manufacturing process.

What should be my next step(s) in trying to resolve this issue?

Thank you for you time.

I have asked a Moderator to answer your post in the other (Main) thread about this issue.

It's best to keep them organized and focused.

Why is this marked as solved?  No resolution or follow up after the "referral" shown!!  My Zeen has EXPLODED IN MY HAND and I can't find any info on how to get it fixed or replaced.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forum.
