Envy
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My son downloaded an update on his HP Envy and now it won’t boot up.  Did a systems check (memory and hardware) with no issues found.  Tried to do a factory reset (F11) and it will not work.  Stuck in a loop of HP logo followed by an announcement that it is trying to undo but then cycles back to the HP logo.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

Hi
First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.

Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.

Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat; Re-Connect the AC adapter.

NOW begin checking/testing/proving the Hardware is fit for purpose.
Power on your PC, press ESC (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).

Which you have done.   Therefore next would be to try another PC and make a bootable DVD/USB

and try as per the piccies.

If in doubt please ask.

Appreciate the info but no joy.  Perhaps I didn’t make it clear but this is a laptop.  I can get to the bios and have run a systems check (memory, quick hardware and. Extensive hardware) with no faults detected.  I decided to do a factory reset but F11 will not do anything. It simply tried to boot up with the hp logo then a message pops up stating that the system is attempting to in-do the last changes and cycles back and forth between the hp logo and that message

Hi

You have a laptop, with no Hardware faults,  so....

Therefore next would be to try another PC and make a bootable DVD/USB

Fresh Install.
