Hi could you please let me know the reason behind the incompatibility of the stylus.

What are the main  factors for incompatibility

The main factor: they are TWO pieces of different hardware and software. They MUST know what is another one doing/saying, they must use SAME language. I don't speak Chinese but I know Mandarin and Cantonese are two different things.

Hardware wise stylus is a pen. It can be a ball pen, can be a fountain pen or simply can be a pencil ... you know we can't use normal ball pens on space station.  You can't write a fountain pen on all surfaces ...

 

As I said before, we need software to drive hardware (that why we have drivers). Software tells hardware to do one thing but hardware does not konw what is the thing therefore it may do other thing or simply incompatible.

 

Hope this makes sense.
