HotSync Palm Zire m150

My old computer died.  I no longer have the software disc for my Palm Zire m150.  I downloaded Palm Desktop 4.1.4 to my new computer that has Vista.  The information will not download from my Palm.  It appears that the Palm or the software I have is not compatible with Windows Vista.  Now what do I do to get all my stored information backed up.

Re: HotSync Palm Zire m150

what you need in windows vista is palm desktop 6.2. click the link below and enter article # 32859.

http://kb.palm.com

you can also download palmhotsyncsetup from http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/.

this is needed for legacy models so that it will sync with windows vista using palm desktop 6.2.

Re: HotSync Palm Zire m150

I have a damaged treo 650 and am trying to download my latest palm desktop file (version 6.2.2) to an old Zire m150.

I did a hard reset on the zire.

I ran the little app you suggested to allow 6.2 to run with legacy systems.

I tried to sync address book only set as desktop overwrites device.

Sync said it was successful but no data made it to the zire.

Any ideas?

Regards

Roger
