Hp died during factory reset

HP Recommended

Hi so I was given an hp. But it still had the old users info for password. So I decided to factory reset to see if it would help delete anything from old user. During this time of resetting it had died. Now it says didnt restart properly. And ask to hit ok. It keeps looping this over and over the same thing and saying preparing. Can I fix this?

@sunshinemarchan Thanks for sharing your concern with the HP Community,

here's what I'll need, so I may be able to provide an accurate solution:

What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: click here

(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.)

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

Could you share images of the screen you are referring to?

Did you run a hardware test on the computer using the F2 key during a restart?

In the meantime, please try the steps mentioned on this link: Click here to check a related post

Please reply with the details for further assistance.

Eager to help!

To thank me for my efforts to help you,
