I recently installed Windows 10 version 1809 from a jump drive.  These are the steps I followed as best I remember.

1. I held down the volume down button during start up.

2. Select bios setup

3. I enabled USB boot under Boot Options in Advance setting and saved the settings.

4. Again hold down the volume down button.

5. Place jump drive with adapter into type C usb

6. Select boot options

I am do remember which of the two options I slected since I tried both but once the correct one is selected the installation will begin.
