Pavilion g7 1260us
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My g7 1260 won't boot past install of the windows 8 USB I have, because it wants to load the drivers (which I don't have) from my recovery disk. Is there a link or somewhere to download it to a bootable USB? Please, I need help? I start college next week, and it's online, this is my only option for attending.  Thank you.

Hi:

Your PC originally came with W7 Home Premium 64 bit from HP.

If you can read all 25 characters of the W7 product key on your notebook's case, you can download a w7 Home Premium 64 bit ISO file from the link below, toward the bottom of the page.

https://getintopc.com/softwares/operating-systems/windows-7-home-premium-free-download-iso-32-bit-64...

I have zipped up and attached the Microsoft utility below that you can use to transfer the ISO file to a DVD or USB flash drive so that it is bootable.

After W7 installs you can install the drivers and software from your notebook's support page.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-g7-1200-Notebook-PC-series/5145712/mode...

Since the ISO file is a retail file and the product key is OEM, you may have to use the Microsoft automated phone activation system to activate windows.  You will be guided through the process if that happens.

Otherwise your only other option would be to order W7 recovery media from this vendor at the link below...
