K4000

HP states that the K4000 can be used with android tablets,  Have 4.1 on my HP Touchscreen,  In settings, bluetooth is on and shows that it is connected to Bluetooth 3.0 keyboard.  However, the keyboard does not work.  HP instructions for the K4000 only discusses windows applications and does not mention android.  It states that you need to enter a code on the keyboard.  When I press the connect botton on the back of the keyboard for at least 3 seconds, I do not see a code to enter.  Further, the little light at the top of the keyboard keeps flashing green then red.

Any siggestions?  Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Not sure what device you are referring to (HP Touchscreen?)

When I connect the ancient Palm Bluetooth keyboard I use to my various HP devices (TouchPad, Slate tablets), I see no dialog to enter a code but entering four zeros (0000) then hitting the return key does the trick!

Initiate the pairing from the HP device, and immediately try entering the code followed with a return.  If using an Android device, look for the Bluetooth symbol to change color.  This will indicate success!

I have the same issue. I have a Kindle and also try to use it on my Samsung s8+ What is going on? It brings up a 6 digit number to type in. It connected once and then instantly the 6 digit key comes back up to type again. It says it's unable to connect bc of the invalid or wrong pin
