Help! This happened just last night. I recently did an update to whatever was recommended. I am not sure if thats connectes. When plugged, it shows that it is charging and it's 96% but once I remove the chargers it shuts off. I did the battery test and the battery passed. I plugged it into a wall outlet over night and still didn't work! Please help!!!

Hi @joycee2560

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the PC shutdown issue.

To better assist you - Have you tried an alternate AC Adapter?

While you respond to that, please try these steps - HP Notebook PCs - Battery Does Not Power Notebook or Hold a Charge

If the issue still persists, this could be a hardware issue and I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Have a great day!
