Product: HP spectre x360 15” i7 8thgen
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My new/refurbished  HP spectre x360 just arrived today!! But once I stepped through the first setup, I got to part 3 “ connecting to a network” and nothing appeared?? After skipping this and going through the rest I went to NETWORK AND INTERNET which indicated Not Connected. I then clicked TROUBLESHOOT  which causes the diagnostic tool to run. The received error says “install a driver for your network adapter”/‘windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter. if you have a network adapter, you will need to re-install the driver.’  Next I reset the computer to factory default several times and no change.  The network adapters that are currently installed are:

wan miniport (ikev2)

wan miniport (ip)

wan miniport (ipv6)

wan miniport (l2tp)

wan miniport (network monitor)

wan miniport (pppoe)

wan miniport (pptp)

wan miniport (sstp)

In other devices, Network Controller is saying unknown and that there are no compatible drivers for this device.

Info: i7-8550 / 16GB ram / 64 bit os

We need to know what is your Spectre x360 ?  Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:

  http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108

  Please do NOT post its Serial number (s/n).

 

Most likely it uses Intel card but we need to be sure which one.
