Yup. The product was over priced, I have configured mine on a way that it works ok. I like the form factor is being used for taking notes with one note, reading and browsing. It's also my backup pc when don't have my Pro with me. It handles Visual Studio 2017 quite well. I got mine replaced for the 128 Gb model and kept the BIOS on .6

Another thing I do is never to install the HP updates just used the windows ones. @Plettza keep bugging HP until they will give u a replacement, then keep it on .6 and you can enjoy it a little bit.

It's out of warranty and i just use it for Audible and some YouTube. It just lives under my bed. It took them weeks to replace my original unit and I just don't have the will to bother with them again. I battle then almost weekly at work as we have pretty much an HP fleet including printers.

Hey Guys,

There's new release of BIOS 1.15 who'd above 1.07 interested to try if it solves the issue?

Type: BIOS

Version: 01.15 Rev.A

Operating systems: Windows 10 (64-bit)

Release date: Apr 23, 2017

File name: sp79885.exe (8.5 MB)

The release notes say:

"Provides improved security of UEFI code and variables. HP strongly recommends transitioning promptly to this updated BIOS version which supersedes all previous releases. NOTE: Due to security changes, after this BIOS update is installed, previous versions cannot be reinstalled."

I would guess this is to fix the Intel ME security flaw CVE-2017-5689 https://security-center.intel.com/advisory.aspx?intelid=INTEL-SA-00075&languageid=en-fr

Whew...  what a cluster... I'm having the same issue described here. About half a second delay before it starts taking in my finger input... then if I let my finger off the screen for any more than 5 seconds it's like it has to recognize me again.

They're up to 1.17 now... and nothing at all has changed.

Has HP done anything to help out all the people who bought this and don't have a warranty to fall back on?
