I am having the same issue with my X3.  I don't use bluetooth for anything and it's always been off so I can't contribute the disconnected SD card error being related to having bluetooth on.  I'm trying the NFC option now.  Looks like it is on by default, so I just disabled it.  The fix by making the card a little thicker by placing a small piece of plastic on top is an interesting idea.  I may try that.  I'll call HP when I get a moment so that I can get this logged and added to their queue.  Other than that I'm enjoying the phone.  I do wish the speakers were a bit louder.

my X3 blue tooth and SD card problem of disconnecting has resolved with the latest update.

my problem previousy, was resolved by uninstalling Fitbit app and disconnecting Fitbit to my bluetooth.

now I have Fitbit running on the newest update w/o problems.

but now, a new problem popped up, when ever I reboot my x3, it says it needs to fix my SD card for errors. after that, its ok. Error does not occur again until I reboot.

crazy.
