Second monitor blirry

HP Recommended
HP monitor
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
Hi,

I recently attached an HP monitor as a second screen on my Windows 7 computer. The second screen is very blurry and zoomed in, and I can't adjust the resolution as the option is greyed out.
I am using a VGA to 3.0 adapter.

Any tips would be very appreciated!
