Surveying calculatros

What is the best HP calculator for surveying/civil engineering purposes? My HP-41CV with two survey packs died finally after many years.

Hi!, Boltfan26:
IMHO, for you and survey, today, is HP50G. This have calculator have many libraries created for download, and install, from ... http://www.hpcalc.org/search.php?query=survey&hp49=1
The ultimate is the HP PRIME GRAPHING CALCULATOR and too is best, but didn't have many programs.
Have a nice day !.

You gave no details what is the problem with your HP41CV, so my advice may be not adequate.
My HP41C died many years ago. I just disassembled it and cleaned all the contacts inside with isoprophyl alcohol. It is working fine till today.

Hi Make
My HP41c is obsolete maybe but still in good health.
It was used extensively, some 30 years ago (befor the era of PC!), for about 5 years, some 3-6 hours daily!!!
Then landed in a cupboard on a retirement. But the keyboard is still in excellent condition, no single key make any problem.
There is no any comparison to today's stuff made for example by casio!. (I have a casio classpad 330 which stopped working after warranty period ended!, (well known problem with touch screen in this model)
In my opinion HP calculators are unbeaten.
Note: Neither I work for HP
