HP Elite X3 Verizon

Has anyone noticed that the Verizon HP Elite X screen gets stuck in portrait mode and won't go into landscape mode when rotated? A soft reset appears to fixed this issue, but in time this rotation issue does return and I have to soft reset the device again.

I have the same issue with unlocked version purchased directly from HP. Similar issue with auto-brightness stopping to work. Rebooting fixes these issues temporarily. I suspect that the drivers do not auto-recover from driver crash (unhandled exceptions).

I've been having the exact same issues since November; I've just come to accept it as part of life since the phone has many other issues that are worse. The 'solution' is to reboot the phone, which of course takes a solid five minutes thanks to how slow the phone shuts off and starts up, and the period of time after you turn it off when it doesn't respond to the power button.
