Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The touchpad stopped working in windows with a code 10 error in device manager. I couldn’t figure out how to fix it, so I attempted to reset windows. That failed in the middle of the process and it was then impossible for any kind of recovery, Tried clean install, and it won’t let me. Booting from usb will not work, circles around for 10 minutes and BSODs on “driver PNP Watchdog”. The only way this PC is at all useable is that windows 8 works on it. I attempted an upgrade install of 10. Same result, will not boot, and BSODs with same error. In addition, the touchpad ONLY works in UEFI for some reason. Is there any solution for this or is this 1 month old laptop already done for?

@Joshuapm11,

I reviewed your post and I understand that the touchpad is not working in Windows and you are also facing issues reinstalling Windows on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you follow the steps in the below article and perform a system reset on the computer and check.
