Pavillion V0Q01UAR#ABA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After windows update, only the admin can log in.  Other users can't log in.  It says to restart and try again--did that.

In the past, a work around was to restore to a point before the windows update.  this time, there's no restore point to go back to.

@BBarlow,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to login to the account after a recent Windows update.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • Are you trying to login to a local account or Microsoft account?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

Meanwhile, I recommend you uninstall the recent update windows (Which caused the issue) and check then you are able to log in.

If it is a standard account, I recommend you try changing it to an administrator account and then check.

Follow the steps in the below article to change the standard account to an administrator account.
