Using a pin go logon to the laptop

I cannot find the instructions for setting a PIN number in place of your regular logon password.

No worries, I'll be glad to help you out with this.

To activate a PIN on Windows 10, follow these steps:

1. Open the Start menu.
2. Search for “Sign-in options.”
3. Under PIN click “Add.”
4. Create a PIN.

After this point, you can use your PIN to log in to this device the next time you’re on the login screen.
