WiFi Direct Printing. Moto x4 Androidone Smartphones

I AM UABLE TO PRINT FROM MY MOTOROLA MOTO X4 ANDROIDONE PHONES. I HAVE INSTALLED AND UNINSTALLED OVER SERVERAL TIMES, AND  IT STILL WON'T PRINT. I HAVE INSTALLED THE HP PLUG-IN AND THE HP SMART APP, AND EITHER ONE WORKS.  AFTER DOWNLOADING BOTH, THE PLUG-IN WILL ALWAYS "SAY PRINTER IS UNAVAILABLE".  THE HP SMART APP SAYS "SOME FEATURES ARE UNAVAILABLE" AND WILL NOT PRINT ANYTHING PERIOD. I CAN PULL UP DOCUMENTS AND SCAN ITEMS, BUT THEY WILL NOT PRINT, IT SAY'S THERE IS NO CONNECTION TO PRINTER.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

Try these steps -

1) Uninstall both HP Smart app and the HP Print Service Plugin. 

2) Check for updates on your phone.

3) Reboot the devices -

• Turn off the Printer, and the mobile devices. 
• Wait for 60 seconds. 
• Turn on the printer and allow it to configure itself. 
• Turn on the mobile devices.

4) Re-install the apps and try again. 

If the issue still persists, try re-enabling the Wi-Fi Direct on the printer - 

From the Home screen, touch the Wireless icon > Touch Settings >  Touch Wireless Direct > Touch Off. 

Turn off and turn on the printer and follow the same steps as above to enable the Wi-Fi Direct.

Finally, I have figured out how to print WiFi Direct on my Motorola Moto x4 Androidone.

HOW TO PRINT;

1) Turn on Airplane Mode.

2) Turn on WiFi.

3) Connect to Printer: WiFi Direct.

Make sure to download HP Plug and HP Smart if you choose it as well. I fine that it works best with both. One can make their own choice if you want to download HP Smart.
