Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i'd like you guys to explain to me what going on with my new Hp x360 laptop.before i bought these laptop, it was advertised/ listed to have battery life up to 10hours more, i have only had these laptop now for less than two weeks and i can tell you guys that all the juice it it can give is roughly 5hours which is like half of what i was told. please do something about this, i might have it retured soon. thanks

Yes thats about average. Laptop vendors measure battery life differently than in real world use and there is no way of knowing how long a battery will last for you depending on how you use it.

Programs, using wifi, watching videos will all use up different amounts of energy.

When I read an advertised length of time, I can figure about half that in real time, no matter the vendor.

 

Here is a guide from HP explaining what can be done to tweak settings to allow more battery life.

Things like lowering screen brightness, turning off Bluetooth, turning off services running in the background can help.

I also dont use battery power unless I absolutely have to. Sitting at my desk, it stays plugged in. This extends the end of life by not using battery recycles.

 

Thats about all I can do for you from a forum stand point.
