When trying to set up email get message "your account is out of date.  Up date the password".

The password showing is 16 digits.  I have changed the password in Frontier twice - still get the same message.

Can't get rid of the 16 didits.  Thank you

Hi,

You need to talk with your provider. I don't think HP knows your password and you don't want them know your passwoed to logon to your email anyway.

Regards.

@banhien is right - talk to Frontier:  Call 1.800.239.4430

If you find anywhere that you have two-step verification set up, switch it off for the purpose of testing (at least).   Some programs don't really care for this extra security step / setup.

I took a quick look at this; there are a number of things that might be happening, including (perhaps) an early adoption of the  anticipated change to the way in which the email security authentication is handled.

Frontier Email Security Upgrade > Take steps before March 31, 2017

For Windows Mail, it might be enough to create an application specific password.

Frontier Email Security Upgrade > Windows 10 Mail

If you want to dig at this a bit more, the Frontier Help Center provides a lot of help that appears to be clearly written, thorough in context, and inclusive of lots of the details you need to set up and use the services.

Frontier Email Account > Set Up Email in Other Programs

Good Luck!
