Product: hp PhotoSmart R607 Digital Cam

The LCD screen on referenced hp PhotoSmart camera needs replacing, displaying only horizontal lines.

Q: Can this component be replaced/fixed?

Hello @snah

 

Unfortunatley no, the LCD screen on the back of that camera cannot be replaced. HP would simply replace the whole camera if it were under warranty. But looks like that model is way to old now to be under warranty.

Plus the cost to have a shop replace the screen (if possible) would not be worth it.

 

You  would do best to to buy a new camera.

Unfortuanetly, HP got out of the digital camera biz years ago.

 

I would Google Digital Point and Shoot camera reviews to get a good idea of whats out there now.
