unmount sd card

Hi,

You can unmount external media (including sd cards) by going to the "computer" window. (this pc)

Right click the SD card in this window and click "eject".

See if there pops up a message in the right bottom of the screen showing that it is safe to remove the SD card from the computer. (to be sure)

Good luck!
