was told to get certain type of active pen by HP support and still dont work

HP x2 detachable 2 in 1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i was told to get the hp pro tablet active pen. it is the one HP said would work but i cant get it to. im wondering if i dont have the right one or maybe not the right software. my 2 in 1 came with windows ink so i dont know please help.
