@a996506,

Welcome to HP Support Community,

What exactly seems to be an issue with the notebook? Do you get any error message while booting.

Have you tried to run any test on the computer from F2?

Are you able to boot the computer to the desktop?

Let's try these steps here:

Run an extensive system test as well as an extensive test on the hard drive from F2 (Please remember to capture the failure ID for further assistance).

If the test passes, I would suggest you could try to perform a reset.

Note: If you're able to boot the computer into the Desktop PC - then try to perform a System reset on the PC. For more details on how to perform a reset,

Please make use of this support website: HP PCs - Resetting Your Computer (Windows 10)

For some reason, If you're not able to boot into the Desktop, then the only option would be to perform a system recovery, either using the partition available on your PC or through a set of recovery media for your PC.

Here's what you need to know about obtaining a set of recovery media for your HP PC - Click here

You may also contact our HP support team to order a set of recovery media for your PC.

HP support can be reached on www.hp.com/contacthp

Select the product type.

Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

Select the country from the drop-down.

You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Cheers!

@a996506,

In this scenario, I would personally go ahead and perform a system reset on the PC - HP PCs - Resetting Your Computer (Windows 10)

Let me know how it goes!
