Welcome to the HP Community.

Be Aware:

Do not respond to individuals who post phone numbers or email addresses.

Do not respond to individuals who ask you to provide private information in a public Post.

These people might be scammers trying to steal your information / money.

====================================================================

What?

Student ID would normally be something used only in a school / university environment.

It is not something we can use in the Community (nor do we want to do so).

The HP Account is your universal HP access account and password for your HP services.

For example, your HP Account is used to sign into HP services and applications (HP Smart).

Explained here:

HP Account - Login / Dashboard

Note:  Log into your HP Account if / when you need central access to your device information, including the ability to update your personal  information.

Excerpted:

One account, many uses!

Access your HP account to learn about HP applications and services.

HP's Support Community - Use your HP account to join the conversation to find solutions, ask questions, and share tips for HP Notebooks, Printers, Desktops, tablets, more. Get answers from HP experts and real HP employees, or offer guidance to someone else!

HP Instant Ink - Account status, account information, ink levels, print history, account history, and help information.

HP Store - Order history, account information, address book and more.

HP Smart - Print right from your phone, effortlessly order ink and more with your HP Smart account.

And much more!

===============================================================

If your school / university is blocking access to particular HP tools / websites/ services, you should contact your in-department support team (at your school / university).

Not the issue?

Try again to describe what you are trying to do and how your HP Account is refusing to let you accomplish that goal.

Explain, if you can, how you think we can help.

Be sure you do not post any private information - we are a public website.

Thank you for participating in the HP Community.

The Community is a separate wing of the HP website - We are not an HP business group.

Our Community is comprised of volunteers - people who own and use HP devices.
