Touchpad Problem
10-01-2020 04:09 AM

My Device Is 14-ck0127TU
I Have A Touchpad Problem With My Laptop
When I Open Device Manager I Can't Find The Mice And Other Pointing Devices In The List So I Press The Alt Button And Go To View And Then Go To Show Hidden Devices And When I Press That I See The Elan Touchpad With A Master Warning Light "Exclamation Point Inside A Yellow Triangle"
When I Cheked Device Status Its Says
"This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its driver installed. (Code 24)"
Please Help Me What Do I Do
Please I Need My Laptop To Be Fixed Because I Have Online Classes

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
Firstly, let's update the Elan touchpad driver by Right-clicking on the Elan driver exclamation mark and update the driver.
If update option is not available then uninstall the driver and restart your computer and check the touchpad functionality.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
