Solved!

Windows 10 & Palm Desktop

HP Recommended

Will Palm Desktop work in Windows 10 with the same driver download I used for Windows 8.1?  I have Palm Desktop ver 6.0.1 or 6.0.2.

Hello, and Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I haven't tried any of the pre-releases of Win10, so I won't know until the Final Release comes out in July.

Do not know, haven't seen any results posted here yet.  If you have Windows 10, please give it a try and post your results.

Which version of Palm Desktop?

Have you tried right-clicking on the shortcut to start Palm Desktop and then choose "Run as Administrator"?

See this "sticky" thread at the top of the list for more information about this issue:

jmmorrell - I'm going to be moving from Win 7 to Win 10 with Palm Desktop (Access version 6.2.2) also.  When you finally got all of the fields (calendar, memos, contacts) to appear was your data there also? Or did you have to sync with your device to restore all of your info?  Thanks.

Also, thanks for the info!  I just did my Win 10 upgrade yesterday and had this same problem.  "Run as administrator" fixed it just fine!

I nearly had a heat attack when I opened my Palm OS Desktop and my calendar wasn't showing.

I right clicked and opened it as administrator and Viola! it worked. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

It will only let me see the calendar if I open Palm as an administrator though. Why is that? Is this at all unstable? I am wondering if I need to find another desktop program to track my time.

Thanks,

Karen
