music is playing when unwanted

I made a powerpoint with music that was supposed to start automatically when the slideshow started. However, when I open the pptx on my laptop, it begins to play the music without telling the presentation to start. Then, if I want to start the slideshow, two musics play on top of each other. To stop the music I have to completely close the powerpoint and the flash drive that it's on. I can't find where the music is playing either. I tried to open media player and its not there, or groove music. Please help!
