HP Recommended
Workstation Z600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi!

I would like to upgrade my Z600 Workstation with an M.2 SSD, using with Pci-e adapter to boot Windows faster than the old HDD.

I searched a lot in difference forums, also in HP forum, and find this post:
where Brian's HyperX Predator Half-Height, Half-Length (HH-HL) 240GB worked great in his Z600.

It would be good, but it's too expensive for me (~300 $). There is so much cheaper solution.

I learned that Z600 can work with AHCI (SATA) SSDs, and can't work with NVMe.
The HyperX SSD is an AHCI M.2 SSD, it has a B Key connection (or M key?), so not B+M Key and nowadays it's not easy to buy a new AHCI SSD with simple B (or M) Key, only with B+M Key.

So I would like to be clear with that, is there any research or experience which new AHCI B+M Key M.2 SSD with PCI-e adapter would works great in my Z600 to boot Windows 10 system?

My Z600:
Boot Block Date: 01/07/10
System Bios: v03.61

Thanks the answers in advance!
