HP 2011x Monitor (20" wide LCD TFT Monitor)
macOS 10.15 Catalina

Hello! I was looking through my old belongings and I came across a pretty old monitor that I have never used. I thought it might be a good idea to use it to extend my display on my MacBook Pro.

However when I connect the monitor, it displays nothing. The blue light is turned on for the on button and the green light in the back is turned on for the power supply. I am connecting it to my Macbook through the VGA cable and I know the VGA cable is working fine because my Macbook is recognizing the monitor as HP 2011x.

Additionally, when I click on the buttons on the monitor, nothing shows up on the monitor. I tried connecting it to my desktop as well and still, the screen is black even though the monitor is on.

Any ideas?

Thank you!
